Terms of Service
The terms for using our website, exploring an opportunity, and understanding what requires a separate agreement.
Draft for counsel review. Revised October 29, 2026.
The legal operator, contact details, and live-service arrangements must be finalized before live inquiries are enabled. This website currently prepares local inquiry drafts and does not send them.
Scope and business use
These proposed Terms of Service cover the Gato Data website, its informational content, and its assessment draft builder. Gato Data helps businesses explore licensing operational data for machine-learning training, evaluation, and simulated environments. These draft terms are provided for counsel review rather than as an executed agreement.
The website is intended for people aged 18 or older acting for a business. If you provide information about a company, you must have authority to do so. Browsing the site or preparing a draft does not appoint Gato Data as your adviser or agent and does not authorize us to act for your business.
Assessments and estimates
The current assessment creates a draft on your device. It does not submit an inquiry, calculate a valuation, reserve an opportunity, or request work from Gato Data. There is no charge or payment function in this preview. Save any draft you want to retain; the website is not a storage service.
The separate homepage calculator displays illustrative licensing ranges from team size and retained history. Its model is not a buyer-backed valuation and has not been calibrated to completed Gato transactions. The 500+ setting is calculated using 500 employees, and the model covers three to ten years of records. Its minimum inputs describe the current program requirements, not a guarantee of qualification or payment.
Any later assessment or estimate is preliminary unless a signed agreement expressly says otherwise. Value and payment depend on the data, licensing rights, buyer requirements, diligence, acceptance, and the agreed commercial terms. Website illustrations, examples, and marketing statements are not a binding offer, guaranteed payout, or commitment to a payment date. Gato Data cannot bind a training lab or buyer without specific written authority.
Separate agreements for services and data
Advisory work, introductions, data evaluation, transfers, and licensing require their own written arrangements. Those arrangements should identify the contracting parties, scope of work, approval process, permitted recipients and uses, confidentiality duties, fees, and termination rights. They control their subject matter if they conflict with these website terms, subject to applicable law.
A company keeps its existing rights in its records unless it expressly agrees otherwise. Using the website grants Gato Data no ownership, resale right, training license, exclusivity, or access to your systems. A brief, sample, or evaluation permission is not automatically a license to train a model or create an environment. Any training, evaluation, sublicensing, derived-data, or continuing-use rights must be expressly agreed.
Information and authority you provide
Provide accurate business information and correct material errors before relying on a draft or moving forward with an opportunity. Do not enter passwords, source records, personal details about customers or employees, privileged material, or confidential documents into the website. The assessment has no record-upload function.
Before any later disclosure, your business must establish the necessary rights, notices, permissions, and legal grounds for the proposed use. Possessing a record or obtaining approval from a business owner does not establish every underlying right. Gato Data and the recipient remain responsible for their own legal obligations. Information that cannot be disclosed lawfully must be excluded.
A separate agreement should define any confidentiality obligations before sensitive information is exchanged. Website use alone does not create an NDA, a legal-advice relationship, or a duty for Gato Data to accept or evaluate a dataset.
Fees, introductions, and payment
Any Gato Data fee must be agreed in writing, including who pays it, how it is calculated, when it is earned, and when payment is due. Relevant third-party compensation and potential conflicts should be disclosed before an introduction or engagement. These website terms do not establish a commission, referral entitlement, exclusivity period, or reimbursement obligation.
Buyer acceptance, delivery, payment timing, taxes, costs, and any holdbacks or reversals belong in the applicable transaction agreements. Gato Data does not guarantee a third party’s performance or that an introduction will lead to a transaction. No public referral program is incorporated into these terms, and participation in one requires separate review and authorization.
Acceptable website use
You may use the website to understand Gato Data’s services and prepare a lawful business inquiry. You must not impersonate another person or company, provide information you have no right to disclose, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, evade access controls, or disrupt the service. Do not use the website to violate intellectual-property, confidentiality, privacy, or other legal rights.
We may restrict access reasonably necessary to address misuse, security concerns, legal requirements, or maintenance. Any suspension of a separately contracted service is governed by that agreement and applicable law.
Website content and third parties
Gato Data and its licensors retain their rights in the website’s original content, branding, graphics, and software. You may view the site and use or share your own inquiry draft for your business purposes. This does not grant permission to use the Gato Data name or mark to imply endorsement. Open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses, and statutory rights are preserved.
Third-party websites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. A reference to a lab, intermediary, technology, or research topic does not by itself establish a partnership, endorsement, or authority to represent that party. No third-party contract is accepted on your behalf merely by using this website.
Privacy and data handling
The Privacy Policy explains the website’s current handling of information. It does not grant a license to business records or replace a transaction-specific data-processing or licensing agreement. Changes to website terms do not silently authorize a new use of information already provided.
A future license should expressly address excluded records, anonymization or other transformations, permitted model and environment uses, recipients, security, retention, and deletion. Deletion of source files does not automatically undo an existing derived dataset or trained model. Any such obligations must be considered before a transfer and documented consistently with applicable law.
Availability, reliance, and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the informational website and local draft builder are provided as available, without a promise that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular transaction. Gato Data may change or discontinue preview features. Keep your own copy of information you need. Commercial guidance does not replace independent legal, tax, privacy, or technical advice.
Subject to applicable law, Gato Data is not responsible for indirect or consequential business losses arising solely from use of this informational website. This proposed limitation does not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Liability for paid services and data transactions must be addressed separately in the applicable signed agreements. No monetary liability cap is established by this draft.
Changes, disputes, and contact
A final version of these terms will identify the legal operator and contact details and explain when the terms take effect. Material updates will be accompanied by appropriate notice and acceptance where required. A later website update does not amend a signed data license or service agreement without the process required by that agreement.
The governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution procedure must be finalized with counsel once the operating entity and jurisdictions are established. This draft does not impose arbitration, waive class-action rights, or remove mandatory protections. Any provision that cannot lawfully apply should be limited or omitted without removing those protections.
The operator’s business address and monitored legal contact have not yet been finalized. They must be added before these terms are published as operative terms. This preview has no live legal-notice submission channel; an inquiry draft is not a notice, consent to a data license, or acceptance of a transaction.
